6G will have to be combined with artificial intelligence

5G has just arrived and is still being deployed. But do we know anything about 6G? Some experts in the field have ventured to define some of its future features.

There is no doubt that technology is changing our lives as it updates itself. It is hard to imagine a world without mobile phones or the Internet.

New technologies are constantly emerging, but not all of them alter human life with the same intensity. Today, 5G is on the rise, and is beginning to spread in different parts of the world.

Although it is still in the early stages of deployment, the telecoms giants are already clear about what its role will be.

This begs the question, what would it take to upgrade the 5G network in the future to a 6G network?

The University of Bremen in Germany has defined what the limitations of 5G will be and what factors will lead us to 6G. Its conclusion was that artificial intelligence will be the one to improve the advanced technology of 5G, according to MIT sources.
6G will, of course, offer higher download speeds, which could approach 1 tera per second. This speed will give us a degree of instantaneity that we cannot yet even imagine. It will be useful in a multitude of areas, a great example being autonomous cars. The vehicles of the future will need to know where they are and what their environment is like at all times.

This means a changing space full of cyclists, pedestrians and other cars that are constantly on the move. The reaction speed of autonomous cars will require an even more powerful network than 5G, which, for now, will only allow connected cars to be used.

6G will allow immense amounts of data to be sent in real time that will improve the financial market, healthcare systems and the ability to predict and react to any event that may happen instantaneously.

Artificial intelligence will have to interpret these amounts of data. The role of AI will be vital in the future of communications.
